CNY Theatre Workshops
A collaborative effort by Rome Community Theater, Utica Players, Ilion Little Theatre and Outcast International, with grant funding through CNY Arts, invites all to learn and share. This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts
Costume Workshop - Sunday, November 13; 10 am - 2 pm

The workshop will cover basics of costuming a performance, and how costumes relate to characters, time period and the setting. Where to get costumes, sources for purchasing and renting costumes. How to build costumes from what you have. Creating costumes on a budget.
James McDaniel is a costume designer and theatre artist with an MFA in costume design and technology from the University of Houston and a BFA in theatre from the University of Oklahoma. He has designed for Aquila Theatre Company in New York, and Stark Naked Theatre in Houston. He has worked for Timberlake Studios, Eric Winterling, and Christine A Moore Millenary in New York City. James is currently the costume coordinator for Syracuse University as well as the Assistant costumer for Syracuse Stage.
